Public Education is one of the most important items in which a community can invest.  It’s an investment in our community’s future success. For me, part of that investment is running for the School Board.

My focus as a prospective school board member is to hold district administrators accountable for the financial decisions that impact our teachers’ ability to teach and students’ ability to learn.  Teachers need access to adequate and practical technological resources in the classroom. We need more transparency in how our school district functions to insure all voices are heard and the public can confidently place trust in the school board.  Finally, we need to know the board is moving toward providing all USD497 students with an equitable education.

By focusing on these key elements we can ensure our students will be prepared to face the challenges of the world and be competent contributors to our community.

I believe in Public Education.  I believe in what it has done for me - and more importantly what this District has done for my family.  Please take a look around the site and drop me a line if you have any questions.  I would love an opportunity to come and speak to you or your organization about what I believe and about the direction I feel the District needs to be headed.  I would also love your vote on November 7th.

MainPAC Endorsement!

I am very excited to announce that I have received an endorsement from MainPAC, the political action committee of the MainStream Coalition.

From MainStream's website: "MainStream is a coalition of informed citizens who believe that moderate voices need to be heard in today's political climate. We stand for mainstream, common sense, responsible and compassionate ideals. We believe that people with different points of view can come together to forge good government that benefits all citizens."

Dear Friends

I’m ready to serve the students and families of Lawrence. I am ready to get to work both in the campaign and after I am elected. I am asking for your help, however, because I can't do this alone. When I ran two years ago, I made two significant mistakes. I thought I could do everything on my own and I didn’t think I needed any money.
